On my laptop I run Arch linux and I use Gnome as my desktop environment. I also have a pair of Philips SHB 7150 bluetooth headphones and I like them: they are relatively cheap, sounds moderately good and are comfortable to wear.
Now, Gnome by default starts its own pulseaudio process and this will not allow you to have A2DP stereo sound on your headphones: how bad is this?
Fixing this problem is very easy: type the following two commands and you are done.
sudo mkdir -p ~gdm/.config/systemd/user sudo ln -s /dev/null ~gdm/.config/systemd/user/pulseaudio.socket
